Dec 06 2007 :: New Website Design and Seals

The SiteTrust Network has undergone a site redesign. This involves the site logo, and in turn, the Trust Seals. Existing merchants are encouraged to update their Trust Seals to reflect the new design.

The feedback feed display and merchant section will be updated to reflect the changes over the next day or so.

Nov 09 2007 :: 30 Day Money Back Guarantee

The SiteTrust Network is pleased to announce a 30 day money back guarantee for new membership purchases. All new merchants who sign up on or after November 8 2007 are entitled to a full refund if they elect to cancel their account within the first 30 days of membership.

This enables interest merchants to trial our program risk free.

Please note that this applies to the first year's fee only.

Nov 06 2007 :: Affiliate Program Launched

The SiteTrust Network has now launched an affiliate program. Affiliates can earn a fixed percentage of the sign up fee paid by a referred merchant. Merchants are paid by Paypal upon request.

Sep 25 2007 :: Paymate: a new payment option

Merchants now have the option of paying by Paymate as well as by Paypal. Paymate enables payments by Visa and Mastercard. Australian merchants can also use Bankcard.

Paymate currently accepts payments from the following locations: American Samoa, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Cook Islands, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark,Ecuador, Fiji, Finland, France, French Polynesia, Germany, Greece, Guam, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea (South), Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Caledonia, New Zeala, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States of America, Uruguay, Vanuatu, and the Virgin Islands.

Sep 21 2007 :: Feedback email notifications

Merchants who do not receive visitor feedback submissions on a regular basis can now elect to receive email notifications whenever feedback is submitted.

This can save the inconvenience of having to regularly log in to check for new feedback messages. This setting only applies to sites where feedback is turned on.

By default email notifications are turned off. To change this settings, log into the merchant area and select the View Details link next to your site title. You can change the setting under Site Seal Options.

Sep 20 2007 :: SiteTrustDirectory.com is now online

The SiteTrust Network has now launched a new sister site, the SiteTrust Directory. The new website provides a searchable directory of approved SiteTrust Network merchants. It also accepts standard link submissions from website owners.

The SiteTrust Directory features two types of listings: approved merchant listings, which consist of websites that have been approved by the SiteTrust Network, and standard listings, which all other webmasters can obtain through a link exchange or through a one-time payment.

The new stand-alone website is designed to provide enhanced exposure for merchants that have been accepted by the SiteTrust Network. It will be marketed towards online shoppers.

Aug 28 2007 :: Restricted feedback now available

Merchants now have the option of restricting feedback submissions to previous customers only. This is achieved through the use of a feedback code that must be submitted by visitors in order for their feedback to be accepted.

By default, all sites that accept feedback are set to the unrestricted setting. To turn on this setting and to change your feedback code, log into the merchant area and click on 'View Details' next to your site name.

Aug 27 2007 :: First RSS feed now available

The first RSS feed has been completed. This feed enables merchants to display between 1 and 20 of their most recent feedback submissions. Each submission contains visitor comments, along with the submitter's rating, first name, country, and time of submission.

The RSS feed has been developed for web developers who want to take full control over the display of customer feedback on their websites, and is designed as an alternative to the iframe feed.

Example PHP implementation code has been made available to illustrate how to make use of the RSS feed.
